| REVIEW: |
Subtitled
Still Trawling The Vaults 1964-1997 this double album presents some of the most
recent Stones outtakes that have surfaced, together with a couple of tracks for
the first time out on a bootleg. The last 2 tracks in fact feature Keith
Richards on guitar, Buster Poindexter (David Johansen) on vocals, Delbert Mc
Clinton on harmonica and vocals, Joe Delia on piano, Brian Kooni on bass and
Tony Machine on drums. These tracks are covers of the original Jimy Reed and
Ike Turner songs, coming from an audience recording, but it must be said that
in order to accommodate them Watermelon Man was cut to just 3.09 minutes. Packaging
is fantastic with inside of the gatefold cover filled with photos and track by
track sources.
