REVIEW:

Mayflower’s latest release is a remaster of the famous Nasty Music, one of the most known Stones bootleg with live performances; this label already released this set with the same name and structure in 2012 (MF 07-09) covering both Brussels 73 shows and other Europe 73 live soundboard tracks, but this time special care has been used to refine the lot, especially the 1st Brussels concert that now ‘rivals the 2nd’ as far as ultra-high quality is concerned. At the end of Disc One has been added Starfucker which was at the end of Disc Three in 2012; this song was excluded from the main broadcast due to its lyrics. Original noises as well as other unwanted sounds have been removed. Disc Two presents the 2nd Brussels concert which was officially released in 2011 and 2020 as part of Goats Head Soup De Luxe set and copied many times by various labels.

Disc Three contains 6 tracks from London, 3 from Newcastle and 4 from Munich out of which only Track 11 is complete, with the other 3 that come from audience recordings. Track 12 itself is quite rare.

Packaging is certainly better than the 2012 version with a front cover reminding the glorious vinyl release that first introduced fans to this great collection.
