REVIEW: |
New Orleans
78 appeared on tape as Black Girl Like To Get Fucked All Night which later
became a 2cdr (MC 051), another title was New Orleans 78 (No Label), but they
all come from Superdome 1978 (Freezer); then in 2018 came this release called
New Orleans 1978 (No Label) that offered a remastered and pitch corrected
version. Sweet Little Sixteen can be found on Any Port In A Storm (VGP 308),
while Let It Rock is on Tour 1978 (WLR 2129) 13 cd + 1 DVD box. Talking about
video this release comes with a DVD-R of the show that has been already
reviewed here and on many cdr sets there was the soundtrack (Superdome 78, New
Orleans 1978 etc.). Originally the film came out on Stones in the Dome (Sweet
Records RSOR 7-13-78) in 2012 while Let It Rock can be found on video on Fort
Worth 1978 (Jointrip) DVD-R released in 2006. The impression of this recording
is that the first track comes from a different source, the whole is anyway
marred by too much bass frequencies, whenever they attenuate however, the sound
is good enough.
