The discovery of this Nice 1982 show did not present a great recording, but studying what was circulating showed that it could be an improvement. So, here both channels have been rebalanced (+10 to 15% for the left channel), the azimuth and phase improved as well as the transition between tracks; the speed has been corrected too: a comparison with the pre-recorded intro (Take The A Train) showed that the recording needed to be sped up by + 2,9%. However, there are still noises from the microphone that cannot be improved without altering the sound. Additional musicians were: Ian Stewart on piano, Chuck Leavell on keyboards and Gene Barge and Bobby Keys on sax. In particular on Disc One on Going To A Go-Go there was a gap between the tracks in all versions, but no music has been lost; on Disc Two She’s So Cold fades out and there was a gap between the tracks (tape flip) in both versions. On Brown Sugar there was a 4 second gap in this version which has now been patched with another version (2 seconds for every track). On Jumpin' Jack Flash & Encore Break there was a gap at the end of JJF, the encore break is shortened.
