REVIEW:

The Stones first stop in Toronto on the 1975 tour was one of the best shows, some claim the best one, anyway It’s Only Rock’n Roll and Fingerprint File ended up on Love You Live, although heavily doctored. A recording came out in the bootlegs market in 1984 on a vinyl LP called Toronto (OBR 93001) featuring 10 tracks and an additional 7” single, then rereleased without it in 1985 soon followed by a 2LP set called Luxury (OBR 93002) offering14 tracks in 3 sides. On silver we got in 1993 Luxury in Toronto (King Snake Rec.005) but was running too fast. In 1995 was released Toronto (OBR 93 CD 001) that featured the whole concert. In 2001 came out Luxury in Toronto (VGP 267) that had less background noise than the OBR releases. With the same title came out a Cpt.Acid remaster of the whole show plus Luxury in soundboard quality. You Can’t What You Want in Toronto (Cat’s Meow) presented the whole concert in 2 cdrs.

Luxury and Fingerprint File came out on Tour of the Americas 1975 3cdr (Sister Morphine 51), then on The Missing Jewels (Rattlesnake 025-28), the latter also on Europe 76 (VGP 056), Paris Par Excellence (VGP 147) and on Cherry Oh Paris Baby (APCD 070); the former on Little Boys Play With Stones (DAC 093) and on Little S&M (Tour Promotion 001) 7” (which came out in 1981), then again both on We Hope Ya Like This One (VGP 235) in soundboard with 3 remixes of F.File. It’s Only Rock’n Roll can be found on vinyl on Who’s Been Taken From Behind (Wonderful HC 00186) and on Our Demonic Invocation (Great Live Concerts DDD 666) 2LP.

This remaster used a better master source presenting also a more balanced sound (while all former releases had a tendency to shift to the left channel); one of the highlights was Luxury and it is a pity that this song was dropped from the setlist, the version here is amazing and it must also be said that all previous dropdowns have been corrected, so this can be called the definitive version, too bad the following day performance has never been available.
