The review

This is the final stop from Charlie Watts Quintet in Japan, it is a TV show of which two recordings circulate. The first one comes from a DVD which has a wrong date on, sound is good but with a big rumble and saturation particularly in the narration segments; so the DVD has been ripped, tracks and narration segments. edited, some noises in the narration parts have been eliminated. At the end of this disc there some studio dialogue from the DVD Outro which is nor reported on back cover.
For the second disc, which allegedly features a different VHS recording, it was decided to keep only the tracks From One Charlie thus omitting the first 3 tracks found on Disc One, here some more treble frequencies were added, channels duplicated therefore creating fake stereo effect which widens the sound and a lot of little noises have been cut off; this second tape is not saturated but the sound is a bit muddy.
Once more the back cover show some pictures taken from the great Japanese fanzine Stone People (issue #60).
