REVIEW:

The master sources origin of many bootlegs has become more and more an issue these days, someone complained about Fully Finished Outtakes since they have not been provided in high fidelity, but been mp3 sourced, sue most likely to the way these outtakes were ‘liberated’. The attention here is aimed at many well known Stones outtakes that over the years have been released in the underground market on vinyl or cd, however coming from high generation recordings. Hence these are said to come all from Glyn Johns Master Reels which represent the original source; in the words of the project’s curator who also mastered it: “This release was carefully compiled from the best available sources. There has yet to be a release that collects the best moments from these tapes in one place, from the actual original reels. Many releases, even new ones, are still using cassette dubs and other inferior sources. Sound quality is at an official release level throughout with little to no tape hiss”. It shall be pointed out though that not all of these songs come from Glyn Johns tapes for the simple fact that he did not attend all of these sessions, for instance the Jamaica 72 Kingston sessions were engineered by his brother Andy. This is a great release, too bad there is not any clue on the recording dates on cover.
