For this show there were several versions but they’re actually coming from
only two different sources.
The first one (#1) can be found in particular in the 2nd part (CD n°3 and
4) of the box set Three Yardbirds In The Hall (Beano Records B-023).
The 2nd one is more common and can be found on Royal Albert Hall - ARMS
Concert 21 (CR 2813-2) where the sound is brickwalled or on Prince’s Trust Rock
Gala (no label), but the most interesting one comes from the rip of a vinyl
made and posted by DocDondy on Dime that had to be decelerated by -1,8%.
Both recordings are almost complete.
For this project were planned
3 versions
(only with lossless material):
- Vol 02a corresponding to the first
source
- Vol 02b corresponding to the second
source
- Vol 02c is a 'Frankenstein version':
the most complete recording as a merging of the 2 circulating versions.
The one
reviewed here is the third one.
For this concert the line-up was: Charlie Watts on drums, Bill Wyman on bass,
Eric Clapton on guitar and vocals, Jimmy Page on guitar, Jeff Beck on guitar,
Steve Winwood on organ, harmonica, vocals and guitar, Kenney Jones on drums, Andy
Fairweather Low on guitar and vocals, Chris Stainton on keyboards and backing vocals,
Tony Hymas on keyboards, Ray Cooper on percussions, Simon Philipps on drums and
Ronnie Lane on vocals
on Goodbye Irene, Ian Stewart on piano on Wee Wee Baby.
Additional
musicians for
the Jeff Beck-set and the Jimmy Page-set: Fernando
Saunders on bass and James Hooker on keyboards.
This version contains merges from the two sources (1st source on
the left and 2nd source on the right).

they have been combined in order to obtain the most complete recording.
