In this
volume we find Taylor guesting with The Coupe De Ville, a
new recording that has
recently appeared on YouTube. This gig happened at the end of Taylor’s 1992
East Coast tour.
On this show the li
ne-up was: Mick Taylor on guitar and vocals, Lex Byers on vocals, Tommy
Bianchi on guitar and vocals, Chris DeFazio on bass and vocals, George DeMott on
drums, John Cianciola on keyboards and vocals and Vince Finnochio on sax. The
Coupe De Villes are a Rochester-based band with whom Mick Taylor recorded So
Many Reasons which appears on their album Burning Blues in 1992. This song and
the last one are those written by The Coupe De Ville band; this was the first
time a live recording of this collaboration has appeared. They also performed together
at the Rochester Convention Center (Room B), at the ‘Empire Music Conference’ held
the same venue the following day. This must have been a great show as this
recording proves, unfortunately in lossy format.
