For this
audience recording there were 2 versions available:
Source
#1 was more complete but with some gaps and it’s altered in the first track. Source
#2 was not altered in the beginning but was missing the first seconds and You
Shook Me completely.
Comparing
both versions with the previous show demonstrated that source #2 was at the
good speed while source #1 had to be decelerated by -2%. Therefore, it was decided
to use both versions to get the most complete recording: as usual both recordings
have been de-clicked and rebalanced.
On Disc
One we have the Radio Session with Mick Taylor on guitar and Jimmie Wood on guitar,
vocals and harmonica. The version chosen was lossless. It has been chosen not
to use filters to maintain the sound quality and short discussion parts to
introduce or conclude the songs were kept.
In
detail on Disc One The Intro (first #1, then #2) the 8 first seconds are from
source #1, the rest is from source # 2, on Ride With Me (first #2, then #1) until
1’20 is source #2 but all the rest is source #1, Badmouth Mama (#1) comes from
source #1
, Hoodoo Thing (#2) comes from
source #2 with a 2 second patch from source #1 at 3’41; note that source #1 has
also a gap and 43 seconds were lost
09 - How
It Feels (#1), there was a gap in the start on source # 2. You Shook Me (#1)
was missing from source #2) in two parts reconnected on source #1 (note channel
variations at the end of the song).
On Disc
Two Stop Breaking Down Blues (#1) note: source #2 misses the beginning, Blues
In The Morning (#1) note: source #2 misses the end, Ice Pick’s Confession (#1
then #2) source #1 is saturated but includes the 53 first seconds (banter), Cairo
Motel and You Gotta Move (#2) source #1 was saturated, You Don't Miss Your
Water (#2) source #1 was saturated and missed the end. On the Band Intro (#2)
that was missing on source #1 note a gap during the encore break. It all seems
a little complicated, but both recordings completed each other very well and
the result is pretty nice.
