The review

In this volume we get the 1st show from New York in late May 89; here w e have the same situation presented on several prior shows: both recordings came from the same source but in very different quality: there was a soundboard recording where source #1 was a little muddy but lossless, then source #2 had a better sound but a limited spectrum (lossy?). Here again the best result was obtained combining the 2nd source with the Maidenlane recording. All the recordings used have been edited, de-clicked and channels rebalanced and of course their speed synchronized.

Since Goin’ South was not so interesting as merged version it was not kept… but it is here in the mixed version. The mixes version is absolutely great sounding, however the merged version adds a touch of extra stereo feel to an already nice recording.
