REVIEW:

This release presents the famous Wembley 73 8th September 1st show which had been released on tape as The Complete 1973 Wembley Tapes and London, Empire Pool September 8th 1973 1st show, both in low quality; the first silver release was on Trash in the Seventies (Shaved Disc 03) in 1996 with Jumping Jack Flash fading out, then on Belladonna on a Toussaint Night (Sister Morphine 31) a soundboard version was released. In 2004 Timeless 73 (VGP 373) presented its version of the audience recording that in 2006 came out also on Wembley High Eise (Halcyon 2006). Other releases include Empire Pool (Bad Wizard 8973) in stereo, London 8th September 19073 Early show (Devil’s breath 002), then Empire Pool 1973 (SODD 055) in 2007 as well as Nasty Songs (DAC 065) speed corrected, soon improved on Come Back to England (DAC 073), In 2008 came out Come Back To London (SODD 084-5) and finally as part of Tour 1973 (WLR 23135) 13 discs box in 2010 the stereo version was featured again. Moreover, a 4 discs set called The Complete London Tapes (SOS 730907-8-9) was released in Japan. This version recently remastered presents the audience version in mono but with some improvements, notably the damaged intro to Honky Tonk Women has been fixed and the overall pitch corrected.

The best toys are the ones that are both educational and multi-purposeful.
